One setting in the play that made me uneasy...

One setting in the play that made me uneasy is when Macbeth is beginning to lose control, and his ambitions show up as "floating dagger".It shows me how dark and evil one can really be in the face of power.

Destiny: How it played a role in this play

.

In the play "Macbeth", it seems the plot all goes around "Fate". However, in my opinion, the tragedy of Macbeth is not only caused by his “destiny” from the witches predictions, but also is Macbeth's own desire  which pushed him to this ending. In the beginning of the play, Macbeth believed in what witches had predicted and was interested in whether they were true or not, and once he figured out that they seemed to be truth, his ambitions came forth. He eventually killed Duncan and became the king of Scotland and killed Banquo as well; which was based on the fear of being replaced from his spot. Furthermore, his power-hunger was not satisfied that easily. He went forward and asked witches to tell him more about future, then he ordered the killer immediately to kill Macduff- the one who the witches told him to be aware of. After those bloody killings, human nature punished him and he finally became crazy and killed himself. If his ambitions had not lost control, the tragedy might not have  happened.

Changes I would make to the play would be...

Seeing Macbeth dying in such of a tragedy, further reminded me that life is a cycle, it will end up where you have started. So, if I had  a chance to change something, I would have Lady Macbeth become king without unsexing her gender. I think that would make the plot more interesting.

Lady Macbeth versus Macbeth

Another important character that I loved was Lady Macbeth, also played a big role in the play. Like Macbeth, she also had great ambitions and wanted to be the leader of Scotland, but she was more "man like" than Macbeth in the way that she instigated her husband and killed Duncan. She helped him put the dagger into the guard's hand in order to place the guilt on the guards; which her husband was afraid to do.
She showed her strong image though the play, but after that she ironically went insane and ended up killing herself as a result of everything.

How is the play Macbeth~~~

Since the start of my education experience in Canada, the name Shakespeare became my everyday life. I read a few of his plays, for example: Othello, Romeo and Juliet, and Hamlet, I enjoyed all of them for they are all written with great meaning and unique in their own way, just as Macbeth, another great tragedy written by Shakespeare. However, this is one of the plays where women had a huge role. I will describe my experience reading Macbeth as discovering the dark side of human temptation. I got to know how a royal solider turned into a power-hungry ruler. This play gives a clear picture of how desire drives people insane.
